ActiveWorlds is a 3D interactive environment in which people exercise their minds as they explore new places, talk with other people, build houses and many other creative structures, and experiment with the limitations and freedom of virtual reality.
CoF (Circle of Fire) in the company that owns ActiveWorlds. One of the newest projects at CoF is the creation of an ActiveX version of ActiveWorlds that will allow people browsing the internet with an ActiveX capable browser to link straight to a location in ActiveWorlds. This should complete the ability to browse between ordinary web pages and the ActiveWorlds 3D environment as it is already possible to like to an internet sight from inside of ActiveWorlds.
ActiveWorlds presently supports a subset of VRML version 2.0 but is primarily based on the RenderWare 3D rendering engine by Criterion.
TechnoZeus has been teaching people at all levels from beginner to master level how to build in ActiveWorlds since March of 1997 and is well known within the ActiveWorlds universe. There are hundreds of worlds in the ActiveWorlds universe, and many of them are on-line most or all of the time. TechnoZeus' first building projects in ActiveWorlds was a huge 3D glass maze. To demonstrate how easy it is to get around in ActiveWorlds, open ActiveWorlds and click the To item in the Teleport menu, then enter
